The Pirates Guild My first memory is of being kidnapped at the age of six from my sisters side while her back was turned. After many days of rough travel with a rancid bag over my head I was sold as a servant to an English sea merchant living on the west coast of Wales. My new Master put Breddelwyn, an old man in his employ in charge of my learning in between laborious duties on the masters grand estate, but like me, the old man was of Welsh birth, and outside teaching me the fundamentals of the English language he would tell me stories and poems in our native tongue from his favorite writer, Taliesin. The old man became very fond of me, and I of him, and he named me after that writer, but his exuberance to teach with the native Welsh which was outlawed, gained him many a beating, but he said it was worth it to pass the teachings on. Until one day the master went too far and the only friend I had, died as a result of that beating. For eight long years he had been my friend, my mentor, my protector, and the only father I had ever known. I vowed some day to have vengeance upon the master, but I was sent away straight after the burial to work on the Masters ship, The Domination, sailing between Wales and Ireland. The ship was an ex-navy schooner. It had been built purposely as a ranger for pirate ships. It was fast, and heavily stocked with fire power. The master brought the ship when it was decommishoned, and re-equiped the vessal with artillery. The ship was almost impervious, but the only weak point was the fact that the ship came with its retired captain. He was a foul and perfidious person who eminated the constant aroma of a distillery. He would take great pleasure in flogged me if he caught me drinking his sugar cane rum, but I was so drunk I couldnt feel anything, and by morning he couldnt remember what either of us had done, so we were the perfect drinking buddies. For three horrible years I slaved upon The Domination until one stormy night nature showed us all how far from impervious she really was. We struck rocks off the coast of Ireland, and the ship went down. When I came too on the beach the next morning there was no-one else to be seen, so I gathered myself and travelled through Ireland and then eventually home to Wales.
