Away with BOILERPLATE!
This is just a note to visitors to explain that my first concern is to serve my readers & visitors out there in the wide, wide world of AW, rather than to fuss with interior decoration here at home, let alone in my "study" here, which our landlords & gods have decided is to be used for anything but work, meditation, & study.
I do have a nice-looking picture up, though, of what my avatar really looks like, rather than the decomposed dust-and-ashes version that used to disfigure my posts. There was a certain poetic justice in that, I suppose, since my persona here as Sileinos is a ghost-image and double of my persona as Silenos Socrates (push button at left). If you visit me there in my oikos as "Silenos Socrates" you'll find a merrier, more ribald & satirical fellow, a persona more like a satyr or silen of old.
