The name Miranda was invented by William Shakespeare for a character in his play "The Tempest", which was first performed about 1611. The name is a Latin word meaning "worthy to be admired".

Hmmm.... except when I am in bad humour...

For the distracted ones: the artistic work displayed here is from the columbian Fernando Botero... except for my ill-humoured portrait, of course.
The background is my homage to Botero's colors and joy.
