Oh, hello! I’m so glad that you’ve found your way to our House. Apologies for still being costumed as requested by our last guest- he’s a market gardener with a devotion to Flora. We never rush our guests. Please take a seat while I prepare myself for you. The servants will pour you some wine- imported all the way from the Islands. As you know, this is a very special house and my Sisters and I are very special ladies. Please make a small oblation at the altar of the Great Mother in the atrium; She is our Protector and Guide and we are all Her servants. But that’s enough seriousness! Our Mother certainly does not want this house to be a solemn place; She wants it to be a place of joy and pleasure for all who come here. I await your requests In honour of the Mother's dear sister Artemis

People tell me I have that effect- it must be the Mother working through me.

It may be very ancient history for us in Egypt and I'm not really an Egyptian anyway- well, only a bit, on my mother's side- but she's someone I'd have loved to be. Not so sure about her husband, though- she certainly wasn't going for his looks. And his religion was SO bizarre.

The Greeks were a more relaxed and artistically refined sequel to the civilizations of Mesopotamia. Yeah you're cool, but it wouldn't hurt to shut up once in a while.

This is a bit of a surprise..... I suppose this must be my Egyptian ancestors coming through (I do have some!) She sounds a fun goddess- and in the end they're all the the same gods and goddesses really, it's just what humans choose to call them that makes them seem different. I'm sure she's really the Lady Aphrodite under another name
