Welcome to the palace! I am a princess of Crete. My father is King Minos. He has many daughters, and one very strange son. The son, child of my mother Queen Pasiphae, dwells under the palace in the labyrinth. I am the gatekeeper to the entrance of that morbid place. Though I lead a life of luxury here at the palace, with my sister Phaedra. I long to escape.
