Below is a bio for Simon Niall, b. 1899. For a chronicle of Simon's "other life" in Edwardian England (b. 1873), please visit...

was born into an affluent London family; his father was an ennobled soldier and his mother a Savoy actress. He studied music and theatre from a very young age, and by his early twenties he was an acclaimed actor, dramatist, and songwriter.
Simon briefly followed in his father's footsteps when he joined the French Foreign Legion at the outbreak of the Great War. The nature of his involvement in the War is unknown, but espionage has been suggested.
It was at this time that he befriended the American songwriter Cole Porter. When the War ended, the two boulevardiers teamed up to entertain Paris society and cause delightful mayhem at salon soirees, political galas, pretentious cabarets and modest bistros.
Simon saw many stage successes in London, Paris, and New York. An extravagant spender, Simon often exceeded his family's fixed income. But the success of his plays and musical comedies more than paid for his losses.
Other than his vaudevillian skills (acting, singing, dancing, acrobatics), Simon speaks French and is well practised in fencing and the use of firearms.
