Hello honoured guest. Welcome to my humble pavilion. Please be seated and I will serve you a nice cup of tea. I am Hoshiko Murisika. I have completed many years of Geisha training at the Okiya in Kyoto. My training actually began before I went to school, as my honoured Mother was one of the best known Geishas in Kyoto. My name, Hoshiko, means Star. It was given to my when I finished training, by my onee-san (elder sister - one who helps train a new Geisha) . She chose it because I was born at the time of the Tanabata, or Star Festival. My parents named me Natsumi, which means Summer Beauty. I think both of my names are lovely. I am looking forward to my new life, and, perhaps, making new friends here.
