Welcome to Villa Caecilii Metellii. This Villa is located outside Metellinum Colonia in Hispania, just east of Emerita Augusta upstream Anas Fluvius. Metellinum is right on the border of Hispana Baetica and Hispania Lusitania. The Villa was established by Quintus Caecilius Metellus Pius. He was procunsul in this area and a respected military. The Caecilii Metellii family is a rich, plebeian and noble family since the times of the Republic. If you are inquisitive enough, you may try to find Metellinum in a map to see where the Villa is located. +

+ The Villa was once a military outpost and now has been transformed into an agricultural and trade complex. The Villa Urbana is relatively small in comparison with other villas, but it has beautiful adorned walls and rooms. The Villa Rustica is a very big array of buildings where the slaves live and travelers stay. Some times we have some soldiers staying here too on their way to Africa. The many storage rooms hold the produce of the Villa which is taken out the Anas Fluvius to Gades, where it is shipped out to many places in the empire on the trading fleet owned by the association between the Caecilii Metelli family and the Longinus Family. +
