It is Samhain, my favorite holiday. most of you know it as Halloween. For me it is the birth of the new year, a time for feasting, scyring, and preparing magically. It is a powerful night, filled with wonder and energy.

I do think everything has a purpose and everything happens for a reason. Maybe this comes from too much time spent with cosmology and the medieval era, but it is a personal philosophy.

I don't always understand the experience, or agree with it but I still think all things were meant to happen. And if the lesson is not learned, the universe will continually place one in that situation until the lesson is learned.

Human kindness is such an inexpensive way to give of ourselves and it is always rewarded three times greater.

I am professionally driven, an insomniac, prone to stress and overwork, am impatient, fiercely independent, and intense. The tulip is my favorite flower. Pale pink ones from the heart bring me to tears. I love the rain, can tie knots in cherry stems with my tongue, and hyper-task like crazy. Pink diamonds are my favorite trinket. I am undefeated beer drinking champion in 4 countries. I am very spiritual and sensitive to vibrations, auras and color. I practice a holistic lifestyle and the view that the physical plane is only a limited perspective of the universe. I consult on astrological health, astral cleansing, and general astrological needs.

~films My favorite movie of all time is Young Frankenstein. I enjoy British comedy: Keeping Up Appearances, Ab. Fab., Red Dwarf, Black Adder, Bean, Monty Python (not necessarily in that order). And I have a thing for foreign films. Seventh Seal, Amelie, The Lover, Like Water for Chocolate, Alexander Nevsky, Cries and Whispers, Trainspotting, Muriel's Wedding...

~Music I listen to everything but country-it feels like crushed glass going through my brain. Kiss is my band. Whenever they are nearby in concert I am there. They have never disappointed me in concert.

~Books I am a reader and cannot pick a favorite author unless I can narrow down to a movement or century.Thomas Hardy -19th century British, Dorothy Parker 20th century American. Tolkien & Plato are two authors to which I continually return.
