Oh dear. You seem to have caught me at an awkward moment. I'm between husbands, you see, and when I find myself in those rare and wonderful circumstances, I make off to my Hôtel Ritz retreat to celebrate.
I'm especially grateful to have with me, this time, my darling baby sister, Imogen. She's a precocious nine-year-old - speaks French exquisitely, plays the piano beautifully, and is the most observant little thing you'll ever find. I'm in a state trying to protect Imogen's innocence in this horrid city, but she's nobody's fool. She's often too wise for me and doesn't let on that she knows anything about my rather shameless night life.
