Here's what I wrote for my old AncientSites homepage. The "email anywhere" form is still in the planning stages, although it did work back then. I'm still a member of Cami McGraw's NC group, and have a forum of my own on Delphi:
"I'm interested in ancient history, but not necessarily the same areas as you. I may hold points of view different from yours, but don't try to lay any burden of proof on me, and know in advance that I'm under no obligation to prove anything to you. And neither is anyone else, in case they'd not told you.
"I've been on Ancient Sites since July and have today (1-12-2001) accumulated the 1000 points to become a Citizen. That particular requirement is extremely lame. I'm not too interested in participating in any more online forums -- particularly when they're "read only" -- but I don't often turn down invitations.
"Recently I was invited to join Cami McGraw's New Chronology discussion group, but have yet to post there. David Rohl and some of his collaborators are members of it. You can probably tell from my nickname here that I've got some interest in Rohl's work.
"Check out my Courtyard here for one of those "email anywhere" forms, just don't abuse me or I will send you to the copper mines of Sinai with John Derek."
Hmm... can't edit the courtyard. Soooo, here's the email anywhere gizmo.
