Exploring the folklore of Scotland
While myths are tales of origin and gods, such as the Cruithni Foundation Myth, Cailleach Beara Sidhe and the other Sidhe; and legends are tales of great heroes and Otherworld places and adventurs such as Fairy Mountain and Thomas Rhymer and the Fairy Queen; folkloric tales are of every day superstitions and beliefs of the folks of Scotland, such as fairies, omens, spells and charms.
