    Where the festivities will take place.

    Welcome to the Renaissance Fair of June 2005



    The festivities will begin this Saturday at 11:00 AW Time and will continue untill Sunday at 18:00 AW Time.

    In this thread both the Avatar contest and Balls will take place.
    Both will however take place at the same time, so don't worry about posting your avatars (see the rules below) while people are posting at the party.
    We can just make that fun and pretend that we are presenting the avatars to the Queen, which of course we need since all good Renaissance Fairs do have Kings and Queens.

    The avatar contest consists of helping Othello Scylding find a proper avatar.
    The poor bloke is all naked now and has no face and needs to look good to be able to impress some people around here.
    So just find him a new look, or a look period, and post it here during the ball.
    What has happened now is that the Queen has decided to hold a tournament and crown a winner, but since there is a young contestant whose sad story has touched her heart, she has decided to give him an avatar and a family... the avatar will be chosen by the people, the family will be made with one Aelfwine Scylding who will need to be convinced to be his father, hehe!

    The most important thing in here is to have fun, so dress up, flirt, and dance the weekend away.
    But in case you need a bit of civilisation here is the schedule for the events.

    Saturday 11th of June, AW Time:

    11:00 Opening ball in this thread where a party will be held.
    12:00 Poetry Contest starts here and continues untill Sunday.
    13:00 Avatar Contest will start in this thread. Rules for it are here.
    15:00 to 18:00 Jousting Tournament will take place here, which you have to sign up for here
    19:00 The Great Jester Challenge

    Sunday 12th of June, AW Time.

    11:00 Adoption Ceremony of Othello Scylding, details are given here.
    13:00 Poetry Winners are announced and awards given out.
    14:00 Jester Awards are announced and given out.
    15:00 Avatar Winner is announced and awards given out.
    16:00 Jousting Winners are announced and Awards given out.
    17:00 to 18:00 Closing Ball in this thread where a final party will be held.
