Home of the Dark Elves.
The Dark Elves, or Drow are very clever magicians and smiths who dwell under mountains and hills of Midgard. It is here that they hoard their gold and jewels. They forged Freyja's necklace, Thor's hammer, Sif's golden hair, Freyr's ship, and a hoard of other treasures for the gods. Blessings may be made to the Dark Elves in one's own home, or one may seek out a place where they dwell if one wishes to ask a favor of them. The best time to approach them is at sunset, for they are not fond of daylight. They are human-like wights in noble clothes. Some appear as very beautiful, others ugly or mishapen. The Dark Elves learned the runes through the Dwarf Dvalin, and they know magical songs; unlike them, they almost never willingly teach their magical knowledge, though at times they may teach the art of smithing to a human.
