Tibetan Buddhist Three Jewels
"I take refuge in the Three Jewels, the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, until I attain Enlightenment."
This phrase can be heard by many buddhist monks and nuns, who utter it as often as were it a mantra. Their life long study contains the Three Jewels: the study of the life of the Buddha, the study and trying to live according to the Dharma (i.e. Buddhist Way of Life/Doctrine of Life) and to live the Teachings and Learnings out in the World (Sangha). How monks, nuns and lays do this, we describe and discuss here.
