As Tacitus noted, from strongly indigenous tribal culture in 55 BC, by the fall of Rome, Britain had incorporated Roman cultures, tastes and priorities and yet retained a vivid sub-culture of its own. For discussion of all areas of life for British citizens of The Empire.
