Pre-Classic Period Historical Thread

The Pre-Classic (or Formative) Period of Maya history ranges from approximately 2,000 bce to 250 ce and covers the emergence of complex socities. This period is sub-divided into the Early Pre-Classic (2,000-1,000 bce), the Middle Pre-Classic (1,000-400 bce) and the Late Pre-Classic (400 bce-250 ce).
