Update February 2003: Now that we've grown, what do you say we go back to the AS rules, looking for last names that match, and of course J's too?

This slow, relaxing game is much like the Dei Poker at AS, where we looked for poker hands according to rank (star colors). Now, blue stars are a new shade of red, so we count the red and darker red stars as matching.

Since there aren't a ton of cards in the deck, we begin "J" Poker, named for Final Arbiter and Great God "AmenJot". As you can see, more than one Amen begins with the letter J (Julilla, jojo). Things are sort of mellow here in Egypt, so we play J Poker and look for...

*Gods that start with the letter J
*Mere mortals that start or end with the letter J
*Wandering guests who have J's to share

We also started making words out of the names, using first initials. First initials that match are a pair. If you can get last names that match, that's a pair, too, but even better. And if you see first initials and last names that match, that is a smokin' hand, especially if there are J's present.

Of course, the more J's there are available, the more we tend to make up the rules as we go along. Players are encouraged to share their J's.
