 The Myth: Romulus, Remus, and the Aeneid

The Romans believed a legendary character, Romulus, had founded Rome and killed his brother Remus, in 753 BC. Vergilius, in his epic "Aeneid," connects the mythical foundation to Homer's epic "Iliad."
