    Domitian, youngest son of Vespasian, returned to the unpopular rule of earlier Emperors and was assassinated through a palace plot involving his wife, 96 A.D.

    24-96 A.D. Titus Flavius Domitianus reigned from the death of his brother, Titus, in 81 A.D. for an increasingly 15 years until his wife and high officials arranged his murder in September, 96 A.D.
