Titus, son of Vespasian and a soldier and administrator like his father (completing the pacification/destruction of Judaea) reigned for only two years before his surprising early death, 81 AD.
39-81 AD. Titus Flavius Vespasianus is famous for the capture of Jerusalem in 70 after a long siege, a passionate affair with Queen Berenice, and the question of whether his death after only two years as Emperor was due to natural causes or his younger brother, Domitian.
