Though the name of the thread is "acronym challenge" both acronyms and acrostics are accepted.
An ACRONYM is a word made up of the first letter of any given series of words, though technically it is not officially an acronym until accepted into general usage.

Note that although linguistically pronounceable in the English language, "scuba" was not actually a word until used in this capacity, and "bbc" is still vocalised as a set of three individual letters.
For the purposes of this thread we have actually reversed the acronym process...The end word is provided and it is up to the participants to come up with the sentence or phrase.
An ACROSTIC is a poem or puzzle in which the first letters of each line form a word:
Unite and untie are the same - so say you
Not in wedlock, I ween, has the unity been
In the drama of marriage, each wandering gout
To a new face would fly, all except you and I
Each seeking to alter the spell in their scene*
Not in wedlock, I ween, has the unity been
In the drama of marriage, each wandering gout
To a new face would fly, all except you and I
Each seeking to alter the spell in their scene*
This acrostic is particularly clever because it not only plays on the rearrangement of the identical set of letters used in the paired opposites 'unite' and 'untie' with the acrostic being the word UNITE...The last letter of each sentence also spells out the opposing UNTIE.
A more simple acrostic, for our purposes here on the acronym challenge thread, might be:
Participating
Laughingly
Alleviates
Yearning
Laughingly
Alleviates
Yearning
So, go ahead and PLAY, the more the merrier!
