15th of February
The Lupercalia was one of the oldest festivals of Rome. It was probably originally a shepherd-festival. The Lupercalia was celebrated every year on the 15th of February (15 days before the Kalends of March, to be more accurate) in honour of the fertility-god Lupercus. Lupercalia was also connected to the birth of Romulus and Remus, and their being suckled by a she-wolf.
