Good to see my Kituwah friends again. I am just catching up on all the latest conversation here.
The drought is really bad in the south, some places close to 20 inches short of the normal rainfall. Its ironic about the lakes Jocasee and Keowee drying up. They were manmade lakes anyway and now the need for water in other places is draining them out. A lot of Cherokee history was flooded over when those lakes were made. The drought effects the entire forest too, of course, which is a sad situation.
