It really does just take over everything, and it dominates the other mints. There was a famous Swiss herbalist Bombastus _something, who claimed to have the universal panacea of life, and it was lemon balm. Not that fond of the taste, but I used to drink a lot of the fresh. The fresh leaves are better than the dried. That is my humble opinion.
