I've read some different thoughts on the origin of bagpipes and how and when they came to the British Isles. Some say they came late (middle ages) others early (Roman conquest). Most agree that they are of Egyptian origin. Is there the possibility that they came even earlier? Say through the coming of the Milesians? I have not read any archaeological evidence supporting such, but it seems feasable to me based on the history and geneology of the Milesian dynasty.
