You can now find out for less than $200!
Mars Veterinary can take a blood sample, drawn by your veterinarian, and in a few weeks let you know what breeds are a part of your dog.
As always there's a catch. The datebase they are using only tests for 134 of the 157 AKC recognized breeds, but they hope to have all 157 by the year's end.
The other option is to get swabbed sample from inside your dog's mouth and send it off to MetaMorphix.
The catch here is that though much less expensive they can only check for 38 breeds, but has hopes of being able to check for 115 breeds by the end of the year.
