Some good news that is, eh? It seems that the Celtic Tiger has come to a major political cross-roads yet again. I think that whatever the policy taken on this M3 motorway will forever set the standard of development and affect the physical face of Erin. Will Erin be carved-up, cut-up, and defaced for convenience? OUR own monuments and MEMORIALS gutted for a 15 minute shorter ride to work? What is the matter with some inconvenience anyway? I relish in it! I love a little hard work ahead of me! Irish policy makers need look no further for some negative examples than the United States, the old Soviet Union, or even England- little more than Fionn's throw away. I visited Britain last summer and was dissappointed in the land use- save the Celtic areas. Although the slate mines in Wales weren't lovely. My point is only that I fear that if this motorway gets built, more will get built, and Ireland will not be the Ireland everybody loves. I better get over there soon, lest it's too late!
