That's a good question, how they managed to drum in those outfits! The woman center stage front was a superior drummer, going off on an intricate and speedy riff for awhile, using both the drums in front of her. The performers dressed in these outfits were only in them for something like ten minutes at the most, which may have helped!
The troupe isn't all women; perhaps a little over half of them were women. During differing pieces of the program, different performers would come on and play, while the others vanished somewhere for costume changes. (I admire how they did that; in the tiny tents to the left and right of the stage, there couldn't have been much room!)
I'll be posting a few more photos this week. Oh, and I don't know if there is a story with the music; I get the feeling during some of the pieces there is something like that, but this was short enough a set (40-45 minutes???) that we didn't learn the background on the pieces performed. I'd imagine that in a more formal setting, program books would be available.
