I started building a VR Rome about 2 years ago and some of the people from this site visited. At the present I do have it closed and am building, but you can see some screen shots of it at my projects site here. I have all of the Forum area up out to and including the colosseum and many apartments and dwellings erected. I must admit that UCLA is more historically accurate, but I am not a professor and the only one putting up the buildings. I also admit that I have used some of the builds from UCLA's site as "inspriration" LOL. It takes a long time to create these buildings. The beauty of my site is that anyone can walk or fly through and if someone wishes to build a home of their own or a garden or whatever they can do so. I have thousands upon thousands of everyday virtual Roman objects. Enough to build all of Pompeii, both as ruins and as it once appeared. Thousands of wall textures, from the most intricate wall paintings to marble and wood finishes. Fountains of any description and hundreds of statues. The best part is that this is the only free VR site on the internet.
