Since we didn't finish Beltaine or Lughnasadh, shall we try for Samhain myths? It's such a fun holiday, what with the veil between this world and the Otherworld at its thinnest and all those critters from the Otherworld wandering the earth. Anyone remember the Barrow Tour, the spooky Triple Challenges and the Wild ride? What fun we had! *S*

N is also for Nera, a Connachtman who was the only warrior brave enough to take King Aillil up on his dare and on Samhain night, tied a wicker band around the ankle of a corpse that had been hanged.

You can read the story of Nera and other fun Samhain myths HERE, and if you're not familiar with Samhain traditions, you can read the Wiki article HERE.
