Angkor Wat, a medieval temple complex in Cambodia, may have been part of an urban center the size of modern Los Angeles. If true, the location would be the largest pre-industrial site in the world. A new map of the area was created through the use of NASA satellite images and also sheds light on the urban settlement's downfall.
