The few Vandals remaining inside the Red Boar had gone out to the defense of their comrades and the women who were still inside went around the room, finishing off the occassional survivor. That done and covered with quickly drying blood, Kaia walked to stand by the window, to watch what was happening outside. Her eyes grew big as she saw the outdoor battle unfold.

Striding to the door, she went to join the fight-- just beyond the entrance, Kaia was amazed to see a streak of black race by, directly into the chaos. What was that? she wondered. It couldn't be... could it?

Looking eagerly around for a target, Kaia was startled by a sudden flash and a roll of thunder. Then the rain came and engulfed everything...
