A lower working class hoofer and chorister found in dancing halls and pubs without a chaperone will not be an appropriate dinner guest to foreign royalty. Nola will not be attending the family Christmas party as it would not be appropriate or historically in line with Edwardian mores.
I thank you the thought. Maybe in 4-6 weeks when rehearsals finish and Gypsy Queen debuts she could meet the countess in a more neutral venue at the Pantheon Theatre.
I have not read anywhere in my research of the upper classes and lower mixing in a social occasion like this. The strict classism of the Victorian and Edwardian time period was the backbone of societal life. I do want our little story to continue to have the wonderful believability of historical fiction.
I will enjoy reading the posts though!
