Trying to access SPQR with my little dialup modem squeaking whistling and squaking away, finally getting my connection and then sitting for hours watching one screen after another slowly load up as I clicked my way through the forum in search of the scrolls. Things certainly have come a long way since then. I now connect with highspeed and download at speeds never thought possible ten years ago.
Jot, I have no questions for you, only a word of thanks for you and the others that have made AS/AW a reality. It has linked many like minded people from all over the world together for fun, learning and socializing in a way that was not possible a short decade ago.
As you said, it is exciting to think what the future will bring. I personally look forward to a better world for humankind, but we must all do our part to help make this world a better place for people now. I think that in it's own small way AW is helping to do that, by keeping people talking about the things of the past. If we would pay more attention to things that have transpired in the past we would make fewer mistakes like them in the future.
