He was right on the money.

My recollection is the same. I actually remember it being implemented early on. There was a short time when one could choose to see only the Academic, RP, or Social posts on the DI, by clicking a link... somewhere there. It might have been buggy, but I remember it was tried. I'm thinking maybe early 2003. So my questions relating to that are~

*AmenJot, do you still have remnants of that code lying around somewhere?
*If there is enough of a need/demand for it, could that coding be updated to work with the current Daily Index coding?
*Would that coding also work to cover the requests for Hood DI?

About the other stuff~ Geek that I am, I do look forward to the 3D chat & map project and other ideas coming to light. Challenge though it may be, I know that you will figure it out in classic, state-of-the art, AmenJot style. And the mere thought of having the ability to kiss someone's hand, smoke a cigar, pinch a Roman backside, or actually lose his eternally loose loincloth in a 3D environment has Oset very intrigued.

When you find the time, please do a bit of grunge work here and there? I'm talking about bug stomping. Can be a great stress reliever. Or possibly, maybe even.. let someone like Bryce take a look at just a few of them?

Most of all though, I just want to thank you for creating AS, and for rebuilding her as AW. You may not realize it, but I do believe Sir, that in doing this, you somehow managed to save a life or two. Your people.. these people, *looks around* are hope, strength, compassion, love and intellect all wrapped up into one mighty nucleus of Ancients. For many, that connection became a lifeline, extending from the cyber world to the "real" world. Yep, some amazing things have happened to people who might have otherwise never crossed paths. Marriages made, babies born, friendships forged, homes built, distances traveled, illnesses cured, degrees obtained.. Just think about it. And quite frankly, had you not created AS and AW, there just might not be an Oset on my living room couch right now, living and breathing, loincloth and all.

So for all you've given us, and all you continue to provide, thank you AmenJot. But mostly, thank you for giving us each other.
