There is a good, concise and commonsense paragraph about the Grail here along with a large collection of links to related texts and images. I had bookmarked this page a long time ago and recently re-discovered it.
What strikes me most is the definition of "grail" as a dish brought to the table during various courses of a meal. In this respect, a grail is nothing special but it is still an integral part of any feast. This, to me, is symbolic of my own concept of the grail as something within each person. We all bring our own grails to the table to share the best of our human essences in the feast of life.
