I've got a 15 year old male who suddenly developed the habit of yanking his fur out at the base of his tail (on top). I've looked at the spot carefully -- there are no wounds or bumps and no knots in the fur that would indicated a reason for this strange grooming behavior. He's really starting to get bald in this spot! :( Anyone ever seen or heard of this type of behavior before?
