Letting the mint and lemon balm fight it out!
I could almost write this under the Black Thumb, but I haven't ever had a problem growing it, just harvesting it as I like to harvest off well established plants and that doesn't seem to happen until the plants are year old. Let me explain.
I have lived in this town for 7yrs and the last 5 of those years have been various apartments and at every one I've lived at. I've planted a lemon balm and by whatever twist of fate I get a new apartment somewhere else in the spring! I have left a lemon balm in my wake!
Of course this year the neighbors downstairs *grrr* uncovered all the mulchy cover I had on my lemon balm and bee balm this spring and the last frost killed them dead.
I got my lemon balm in a 8" pot this time around on my southern facing deck *S* This time I hope I get to harvest some of it!
