I'm happy to report that Bortai's lumps--turned out there was a smaller one I hadn't found--were both tested and they are only benign cysts!
Now I have another concern: my other siamese, Chula (hell on wheels at just over two years of age) has been limping and is a bit unsteady on her back legs! The vet did x-rays and a thorough exam, and it turns out that the crazy girl has torn her cruciate ligament in her right hind knee--I've read up on this, but it seems far more common in dogs, and there isn't much info for cats. The vet has her on prednisolone right now, and I have a follow-up meeting later this week.
I've read that there are surgeries, but mostly for dogs, and that taking chondroitin and glucosamine will help her...which I will ask about...but the vet at the initial consultation seemed of the opinion that surgery isn't all that necessary in cats. Will find out for sure later this week.
Anyone else had this problem, or can point me to possible treatments?
