    I should think it was a matter of taste?
    Which method, as a writer, or reader or gore, do you prefer?
    To see, in your mind's eye, a person catapulted to his death from a single snapping pine tree? Or a person torn in two as his body is ripped apart in opposite directions (like the "quartering" of a condemned man by being "drawn & quartered" by four horses, tearing him apart at the limbs by driving them in four different directions) as the pine trees snap upright in opposite directions?
