People might get tired of me agreeing with Mac, but I also swerve between historical fiction and fantasy fiction.
I never did care much though for the "spaceship" fantasy books, but give me a Dragon any day! *G* I know it might sound silly when I say they are too futuristic for me, as if a dragon is real. Although they are looking into that nowadays...how come all sorts of different cultures who never had any contact between them, all have dragons in their culture? People think they must have existed one time or another .... but that has nothing to do with books *S*
Mac, have you ever read the books by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman? I reckon you must have ...
My 'bad' trait is that I always like to have the books, instead of borrowing them from the library or so. Sometimes that leaves me with unread series I just can not get into, like Hugh Cook's "Chronicles of an Age of Darkness". I never made it past the first 50 pages or so of the first book and there are 7 of them...unread and dusting away on the bookself. From what I've read they're even out of print now...I guess with all the books I now have, I have to go through them and get rid of some; not enough room and the piles of books collect on the floor as we speak (or type), while there is still a long long list of books I would like to have.
