It had been a long trip hour after hour searching for the Pits mouth, all what the crew could see under them was several miles of sandy desert, once in a while they could spot a flock of four-winged nulonian birds with some resemblance to pelicans but these birds were the desertic type of bird; After flying in spiral in an area of several miles the instruments started to beep they had located the pit's entrance, the Team strained themselves to see where the giantic hole was but all they could see was desert under them; The ships landed smoothly the crew set foot on ground and everyone were looking around in confusion.

"Bakari are you sure your ship's instruments are right? I don't see any giantic hole around here" said Louis

"Haven't I told you about the earthquake?, the nomads?, the thieves?, the highly dangerous criminals that are still in there?, do you think The Corporation can afford having this hold without a lid?"

Bakari kicked some sand aside and showed them that they were standing in a giantic metal lid, the hole rim itself was miles wide and could be seen from miles away, which was exactly what the Corporation did't want, they couldn't publicly accept that they had grossly lost control of this former high security prision, on his lap top, Bakari calculated the position of the satellite then he set the antenna properly and pulsed the 20 digit code, a moment later Damocles jumped back as a hidden horizontal door slowly opened right where he was standing, revealing a staircase the crew got his guns, parachutes and bullet proof vests and walked inside after a while they reached a former nursery where the inmates had to be checked before going down, stations like this were placed every few miles around the walls of the pit, from the nursery windows you could see a few of them still illuminated, but if you would look down you might get vertigo cause the bottom of the pit couldnt be seen, the team continued their journey passing the collapsed elevators then the staircase, after three steps it was broken, missing some good 40 feet of staircase, this will be their jumping point.

"All right you all every man jumps with intervals of ten seconds, pull the side strings of your parachutes to glide and keep yourselves as far as possible from the walls if you get tangled in any staircase you're on your own, get ready to shoot some nomads if necesary but don't shoot unless you have no other choice, and keep the titanium bullets for whatever we find down there"

And so the team members starting heaving themselves to empty space, every ten seconds Bakari will blow a whistle to allow the next one to depart Louis jumped after Damocles, and very soon Bakari and Aquillas will have to jump too.
