I call out the selected names from a list. When I call out the name "Panos Speros" three men step out. I recognise the one who helped with supplies. "Where are you from?"

"I am from Corinth," he replies. "You can call me Chung."

"Where are you other two from?"

"We are the boys from Syracuse," they reply in unison.

"Chung of Corinth, Panos of Syracuse, Speros of Syracuse, follow me."

Chung? Strange name for a Corinthian, I think to myself.
