The battle of Kadesh has already happened in our story, though, right? As my character is Hittite, I'm trying to figure out if in our version of the story the peace treaty has been signed or if Egypt-Hatti relations are a bit rocky. Chronology for me is going to be a bit messy, since I think my sister, Neferure, was only married to Ramesses in his 34th year. Any strong objections to bringing in another royal wife a little prematurely?

Just to add a grain of salt here, I won't be adhering to history completely, as I agree that it can stifle the creative process. I wanted to give fair warning, though, before I mention Neferure in case any of you might be offended by this sort of marital anachronism! (I'm not really as anxious about the details as I sound; I promise... :O )
