    People, places and things that have to do with Beltaine!

    A is for .. APPLE BLOSSOMS that appear at this time of the year and are often used in garlands and decorations.

    In the Welsh Cād Goddeu (The Battle of the Trees), the Apple is described as the noblest tree of them all, the tree that symbolized poetic immortality. Bards carried apple branches (Craobh Ciuil) with bronze, silver, or gold bells as symbols of inspiration from the Otherworld.
