Untitled Document
No
one who has ever seen this photograph made by Dorothea Lange during the
dust bowl disaster of the 1930s could ever forget it. Employed by the
US Government to record the plight of migrant workers, Ms. Lange took
this image of Florence Thompson and her children for the government archives.
What most people do not know is the Tsalagi heritage of Mrs. Thompson
which was not revealed until recently. For some, the trail has been
a long one. |
