Sending grams is very simple. When you first arrive at AW, a second window should open to the left. This is the comm panel. There you can see a list of who is currently logged in, organized by member level. You may have to scroll down a bit to see this if the announcement section is large, as it is right now. Next the people's names you will see [gram]. Just click on the [gram] next to the name of the person you want to talk to. (You have to be logged in to send a gram.) You can learn a little more here.

If the comm panel doesn't open, try clicking on People Online in the welcome bar under the header. If it still doesn't open, you will have to reconfigure or disable your pop-up blocker. You will also have to do it again to receive grams, because the communications system has a different address. If you still can't see the comm panel, let us know and tell us what browser you are using.

Also remember that as a novice you can only send 5 grams send per day. Grams to scribes and demis don't count against your limit, so if you just want to try gramming to see if it works, write to one of us. We're here to help you get acquainted.
