Whether or not The Parthenon was a mosque or a Christian Church isn't germane to the point. It was indeed used as a powder magazine by the Turkish occupying conquerors , but that in no way changes the situation. My point is that no Hellene ever damaged The Parthenon. Indeed, they preserved it quite well for more than 2400 years. Not a bad record.
