*looking depressed* Thanks for posting that Acol - having now read that article I think I'll not waste my money to see Apocalypto in the theater and wait until DVD when I can rant and rave in private.
Anyone that knows me knows one of my biggest pet peeves is when Hollywood does injustice to history and it seems this would be a case in point. You know, I wonder if they ever stopped to realize that maybe they don't have to decide what's good for the big screen and what isn't. I mean really, how many people are interested in history for history's sake? And I'm rather disappointed that Pokatok wasn't included, I would have thought surely it would have been. *sigh*
I think we should create our own film company - dedicated to bringing real history to the big screen in an entertaining fashion (vs. documentary fashion) without compromising the history. Anyone interested? ;o)
